Abstract

The problems occur in Jambi Polytechnic are in human resources and technological resources that is still less competent. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of maturity of Information technology governance in the academic information system at Jambi Polytechnic, as well as analyze the optimization of resource requirements in achieving capability levels and provide recommendations for improvements that can build the development of information technology resources in the future. The method used is quantitative and qualitative methods using questionnaires, interviews, and document studies. The focus of this study on several domains COBIT 5 includes, EDM04, APO07, and BAI04. Data sources were obtained from the Director of Jambi Polytechnic, Deputy I, Deputy II, Chairperson of the LPM, and Head of IT at Jambi Polytechnic. The results of the study show that the maturity level of information technology governance services in SIAKAD POLITEKNIK is currently level three (established). This result is compared with the expected maturity level, that is level five (optimizing), from the results of the comparison obtained the value of the gap. Gap value is used to formulate recommendations for improvement. To improve IT governance, it is recommended that institutions prepare competent human resources, document every evaluation, direction and monitoring activity in the management of SIAKAD.
